Saratoga Walking Tours

Skidmore CollegeArt DistrictCongress Park

Join us on Monday, June 22, for an opportunity to network with fellow participants and NUTN Board members while embarking on a one hour walking tour of Saratoga Springs, NY. Tours begin at 5:30 p.m. with a choice of seeing one of the following areas:

Art District
Explore the historic West Side of Saratoga Springs with a stroll through the city's Beekman Street Arts District. Local talent has transformed this neighborhood into a thriving artists' community with galleries, restaurants, shops and historically preserved homes alongside a new eco-friendly "green" building. Bring your appreciation for the eclectic and to learn more about the “Spa City”.

Skidmore College
“Skidmore fosters the disciplines of theater, dance, visual arts and writing in a creative atmosphere distinct to the College. Galleries and performance areas on campus showcase the works of students and faculty, while the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery contributes significantly to education at Skidmore.” The tour to Skidmore will also showcase some of Saratoga’s most gorgeous, and old, homes. Many are homes for those who came/come to town only for the track season.

Congress Park
The Heart of the City – this is the oldest park in the state and is a picturesque way to experience the legend and lore of one of America’s earliest resort destinations, Saratoga Springs, “the Queen of Spas”. Join us on this tour to see springs and fountains, Italian Gardens, statues and monuments, and an opportunity to ride an Illions carved restored carousel.
