Rochester Institute of Technology
Joeann Humbert is the Director of Online Learning at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is responsible for all facets of Online Learning: faculty development, course design and development, online student support and the investigation and application of emerging technologies for teaching. In 2008, her Online Learning group received the New Media Consortium’s “Center of Excellence Award” recognizing demonstrated excellence and outstanding achievement in the application of technology to learning. Joeann has written and presented on educational technology for national and international audiences. She serves on the board of the National University Telecommunications Network, has served as a reviewer for the New York State Education Department Office of Higher Education for several Institutional Capability Reviews for distance learning and is a member of RIT’s Provost's Learning Innovations Grant Committee. Joeann holds a B.A. in English Literature from Villa Maria College and an M.S. in Instructional Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.
