This presentation will demonstrate ways in which freely available web2.0 tools such as twitter are used in a online course and can be used to enhance instruction and student engagement in general. Various web2.0 tools are incorporated into the course for various reasons, but primarily to open the course boundaries beyond the CMS to provide students with authentic social learning experiences and provide students access to content they created and contributed to the class to persist beyond the end of the term. Tools will be demonstrated, uses will be discussed, and examples shown. Participants will be invited to join and explore selected tools.
