The Effect of Computer Mediated Conferencing and Computer Assisted Instruction on Student Learning Outcomes

Description

The use of computer mediated conferencing (CMC) tools and web based computer aided tools (CAT) has been widely polarized. However, if and how these tools impact student performance from a web-enhanced learning environment is less than germane if not discussed from learner centered perspective. As more colleges continue to use these modes of technology, there is a need know how to best use them to improve student learning. This presentation will examine a research study conducted on CMC and CAT and discussion the real implications of if, and how such tools impact student performance.
