The educational ecosystem at Capella, an online university, is heavily influenced at all levels by the collaborative relationship between technology and curriculum management. As needs arise in the curricular process, technology is developed and/or adapted to meet those needs. Our systems approach to curriculum design and development provides a structure for the use of technology in support of higher education curriculum design. The curriculum at Capella University is constrained by our commitment to a scholar-practitioner, learning-centered, competency-based model. Through demonstration of Celeste (our curriculum management tool) and its reporting capabilities, the presenters will share insights and learning’s from the inclusion of a technology tool within higher education curriculum design.
