Teaching on the RIT Island in Second Life

Description
This presentation will share the entire process and timeline that RIT has gone through in the development of the RIT Island, specifically focusing on the development of four large teaching projects. The teaching projects include an engineering tensile tester simulation, java programming visualization, a math whiteboard activity, and an economic systems simulation. We will share our process for working with faculty on Second Life projects and survey results from both faculty and students involved in our efforts.
