Stevens, Karl
Southern Utah University
Karl Stevens is the Director of Distance Education at Southern Utah University. He has been active in continuing education for 10 years, serving as regional chair of ACHE Region 10 and awards committee chair for UCEA Region West. Karl serves on the UEN Higher Education Advisory Committee and the Utah Distance Education Deans and Directors Committee. Karl’s career has included uranium mining, furniture delivery, accounting, marketing, and higher education administration. Karl holds an MBA and has just completed the coursework for an EdD in curriculum and instruction, both from USU. His dissertation topic involves the relationship between faculty and instructional designers in the online course development process.
