Joan D. McMahon, Professor Emeritus, Towson University and CEO of Transforming Leaders, LLC, has been conducting faculty training for online instruction since 1997. She has been part of the University of Maryland’s Web-Initiative-in-Teaching project, presented at the national Blackboard conference, worked on Maryland Online’s Project Synergy, and is a certified Quality Matters Master Reviewer, trainer and peer reviewer. In her online courses, she had to reinvent herself as a faculty member to focus on impact-based evaluations. She has helped SLOAN-C shape the Online Certificate program with impact-centered outcomes.
