Paul Elsner is Chancellor Emeritus of the Maricopa County Community College District, which are internationally recognized for leading-edge performance in technology transformation, workforce training and economic development. Dr. Elsner was listed as one of the most effective college leaders in the nation in the November 1996 edition of The Chronicle of Higher Education and cited as one of the 20 most influential leaders by Change Magazine.
He chaired the board of trustees for the Educational Testing Service and served as president of the board of trustees for American College Testing. Elsner served as a board member on numerous higher education organizations including of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), the American Association of Higher Education (AAHE) and the American Council on Education, Eduprise, Protocol, and the National Governor’s Association.
Consultancies and speaking have taken him to China, South Africa, The Netherlands, Ireland, Barcelona, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, and India. Elsner graduated from Harvard’s Institute for Educational management. He received his doctorate from Stanford University.
