Open CoursewareWednesday, June 11, 2008
9:40 am - 10:30 am
In this session, two leaders of the OpenCourseWare (OCW) movement explain why OCW is catching on around the world, why over 160 institutions have joined the OC Consortium and why and how your institution may become involved. Learn the rationale behind OCW and the advantages that institutions derive from involvement, what it takes to get started, what strides have been made and what challenges remain. The presenters will address a wide spectrum of issues from the academic to the technical, from the philosophical to the practical. You will leave this presentation with a full understanding of the issues related to whether or not your institution should become involved in OCW.
