Description
By the year 2020, what we now call distance education (DE) will either be mainstreamed into the fabric of our educational system or will cease to exist as we know it today. This presentation looks at some of the major DE issues we face today and explores how they might change over the next 12 years. Areas of special interest will include access, finance, cost effectiveness, delivery options, student support, and the nature of customer-driven program design and delivery.
