Mainstreaming technology-delivered and competency-based education will both broaden access and enable personalized instruction and assessment. This session’s presenters will describe possible futures promised by these emerging trends, show specific examples to illustrate where Capella University is on the path of personalized education, discuss technological infrastructure issues and institutional barriers to realization of this vision, and show how the scale and rigor of Capella’s efforts promise to provide the next stage of this revolution, the mainstreaming of personalized, transparent, competency-based education.
